A rumoured phone conversation between Minister JC Madhuswamy and Bhaskar, a social worker in Channapatna, went viral on Saturday. In response to Bhaskar's complaints, Madhuswamy can be heard telling him that they're not running the government; instead, they're managing it.
 

Seven BJP MLA's and MLC's aspiring to become ministers will be blessed with a cabinet berth today at 4 pm as CM BS Yediyurappa has got the names cleared after consulting central leaders. Out of eight names, so far 7 names have been cleared and turncoat MLA Munirathna Naidu is yet to figure in the list.

Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa had said last week that a cabinet expansion would occur after the results of the RR Nagar and Shira bypolls are announced. As the BJP won in both the constituencies, several BJP leaders, formerly with the Congress and JD(S), have begun lobbying for ministerial berths.

Munirathna stated that he would serve the RR Nagar constituency with all his efforts as long as he is in power. The politician leads the RR Nagar bypolls with 1,03,139 votes in the 20th round of counting.

Senior BJP leaders and party members were seen celebrating at Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa’s residence, as Munirathna continues to gain the highest number of votes at RR Nagar.  

With ten rounds of counting being completed, BJP candidate Munirathna is currently leading the RR Nagar bypolls with 55,103 votes.

With three rounds of counting being completed, BJP candidate Munirathna is currently leading the RR Nagar bypolls with 16,575 votes.

As the counting for the assembly seats in Karnataka has begun, BJP candidates N Munirathna and Rajesh Gowda are leading respectively in RR Nagar and Shira assembly seats.

The campaigning for the November 3 bypolls to two assembly seats in Karnataka ended on Sunday. Meanwhile, BBMP is tightening the security in the city and has deployed several officers and security forces for RR Nagar constituency.

The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) on Sunday booked a case against popular Kannada actor Darshan, for violating the COVID-19 protocols. Darshan was campaigning for BJP candidate Munirathna in Rajarajeshwari Nagar (RR Nagar) constituency on Friday.

BJP, on October 13, has finalized its candidates for the Rajarajeshwari Nagar and Shira assembly constituencies by-election. Muniratna will contest from RR Nagar and son of former Member of Parliament CP Moodalagiriappa’s son Dr Rajesh Gowda will contest from Shira.

In a major relief to RR Nagar aspirant Munirathna Naidu, the Supreme Court has given a green signal for Election Commission to hold a bye-election on November 3. His opponent Tulasi Muniraju Gowda had approached the Supreme Court to delay the election as Naidu was accused in a fake voter ID case.
