'Punishment transfer' to Kummanam Rajashekaran?

BJP leaders meeting held in Thrissur to come to a decision on selecting a new state president met with cold reactions of the supporters of the previous president Kummanam Rajashekharan.
In the meeting, a senior leader claimed that Kummanam was given over a ‘punishment transfer’ as the Governor of Mizoram during the end of his term. He said that attempts to grasp power with money and influence will not be tolerated in state BJP. Kummanam was appointed as the governor on May 25.
The Chengannur by-election results have left the state BJP worried as the party failed to get the expected result. Supporters of Kummanam were against selecting K Surendran as the state general secretary.
National Secretary of BJP, H Raja responded to the allegations and said that he will look into the matter, and said that the state president to the party will be announced shortly.
