Teacher from Durgapur felicitated by ABVP for participating in clinical trials of COVID-19 vaccine
Chiranjit Dhibar, a 30-year-old teacher from West Bengal's Durgapur has participated in the clinical trial of the COVID-19 vaccine. He was felicitated by Ekal Yuba and Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad for his great contribution to the country.

Different countries of the world are working very hard to make COVID-19 vaccine. Scientists at the Indian Council of Medical Research have developed an antidote called co-vaccine. Chiranjit Dhiwar, a resident of Durgapur has taken part in the human trial of that vaccine. He is an RSS worker and has volunteered to participate in the phases of the human trial for COVID-19 vaccine.

On Sunday (July 5), Chiranjit received a call from the Patna centre of ICMR informing him that he has been selected for clinical trial. On July 29 and August 12, scientists administered the COVID-19 vaccine experimentally to Chiranjit's body. Then several routine tests were done on him. The teacher was finally allowed to return home as there were no side effects. He returned to Durgapur in good health at the end of August.

For bravery and patriotism, Bharati Vidyarthi Parishad and Ekal Yuba decided to give a joint reception to Chiranjit Dhiwar. He was invited to Rampurhat in Birbhum. Arriving at Rampurhat on September 28, Chiranjit first worshiped at the Tarapith temple. He was then felicitated at a function near the city railway station. As long as vaccines or antidotes are not available in the market, the people are asked to maintain all the rules and precautions issued by the government.
