Every year after the Jamboo Savari hundreds of people would rush to the Bannimantap grounds to witness the torchlight parade show. However, this year the torchlight parade and every event outside the palace has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite Section 144 being imposed around the Mysuru Palace, people who were eager to have a glimpse of Goddess Chamundeshwari and the other festivities surrounded the palace.

Though the festivities were low-key this year with restrictions to very few guests, the Dasara festivities went well.

The people of Karnataka hope and wish that there is an end to the pandemic soon and the entire state gets to witness a grand Dasara next year.
