The Asianet News-CFore pre-poll survey took the opinion of 10,396 respondents in 272 urban centres and 811 rural centres using a systematic sampling methodology.

<p>The Pinarayi Vijayan led Left Democratic&nbsp;Front government has received a shot in the arm before the forthcoming elections in the state with the Asianet News CFore pre poll survey pointing to favourable opinion for the dispensation.<br />&nbsp;</p><p>The survey took the opinion of 10,396 respondents in 272 urban centres and 811 rural centres using a systematic sampling methodology.<br />&nbsp;</p><p>According to the survey, 34 per cent of the respondents rated the government's performance as good while another 11 per cent rated the governance as exceptional.</p>

<p>While 18 per cent of people rated the Chief Minister's handling of the Covid-19 situation as exceptional, 27 per cent of the people were happy with the same. Another 31 per cent were satisfied with the handling of the situation.<br />&nbsp;</p><p>The state government's decision to provide free ration kits to people and enhancing the pensions during the Covid-19 pandemic also found favour with over 50 per cent of the population.<br />&nbsp;</p><p>However, the government faced flak over its handling of the Sabarimala issue with 34 per cent of the respondents calling it the government's biggest failure. The government also faced criticism over its inability to focus on infrastructure development.</p>
