Coronavirus: India’s COVID-19 tally stands at 23 lakh, death toll at 46,901

 With India reporting 60,963 coronavirus cases and 834 deaths in the last 24 hours, the total number of COVID-19 infections Wednesday rose to 23,29,639 including 46091 fatalities, 6,43,948 active cases and 16,39,600 recoveries

<p>India had crossed the 20-lakh mark on August 7. Maharashtra is the worst-hit state with 5.3 lakh total cases out of which 1.48 lakh are active cases. The death toll is 18,306. Whereas in Mumbai, with 917 new cases, the total number has gone up to 1.25 lakh including 99,147 recovered/discharged patients, 18,905 active cases and 6,890 deaths.<br />
