Partha Chatterjee slams PM Modi; says only ‘Mamata card’ matters in Bengal not ‘Ram card’
The TMC on Sunday (February 14) said that the 'Janata card' and the 'Mamata card' matters in West Bengal and not the 'Ram card' which PM Narendra Modi talks about.
TMC secretary-general Partha Chatterjee said, “The BJP leaders are losing ground in Bengal due to the welfare measures taken by the TMC government.”
“BJP’s rhetoric will not have any impact on the electorate,” Chatterjee added.
While speaking at a press conference, the TMC secretary-general said, “The prime minister has talked of 'Ram card', but in West Bengal, only the 'Janata card' of development and the 'Mamata card' matter.”
While addressing a public meeting at Haldia, PM Modi said that time has come to show the TMC government 'Ram card' in the assembly elections due in April-May.
Partha Chatterjee alleged that other states received relief from the central government following natural disasters, but West Bengal did not receive any assistance after cyclone Amphan.
Legislative Assembly elections for 294 seats of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly are scheduled to be held in April-May.
