The commission informed that it would send a letter to Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) cautioning it against sexist dialogues and scenes against women in the movies. The panel will also direct film artists' associations and technician's association to  avoid instances in movies that vilify woman's dignity.

The commission chaired by KC Rosakutty said that the modesty of a woman must not be slandered in the name of freedom of expression as it could give out a wrong message to society. Socially committed actors must refrain from making such misogynistic comments and actions.

'Kasaba' released on 7 July, found itself in a soup after the KWC objected to some sexist comments by police officer Rajan Scaria, the character played Mammootty. The macho officer is seen threatening his fellow woman officer that he could stop her menstrual cycle and that she wouldn't be able to walk for a week.

So far, the superstar Mammootty has kept a stiff silence on the matter. However, debutant director Nitin Ranji Panicker said that the film only reflected the reality in Indian society.
