According to a statement made by the group's Chairman and CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal, Ola Futurefactory, which is Ola's manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu, would be operated exclusively by women. Aggarwal said on Monday that the Ola Futurefactory would be the "largest all-women factory in the world," claiming that Aatmanirbhar Bharat demands Aatmanirbhar women. The plant itself is spread across 500 acres of land, and it hopes to employ about 10,000 women once the production process ramps up to full speed and requires all hands on deck.

Aggarwal made the statement on his Twitter account, tweeting the following: "Aatmanirbhar ladies are needed in Aatmanirbhar Bharat! We are excited to announce that the Ola Futurefactory will be operated entirely by women, with a workforce of 10,000+ at full capacity! It will be the world's largest all-women factory!! We met our first group, and it was wonderful to witness their enthusiasm!"

It was also detailed in a blog post, which included a video of the CEO engaging with the factory's initial group of employees. "This is the first in a series of efforts we are implementing at Ola to develop a more inclusive workforce and give economic possibilities for women across the board," stated Aggarwal in the blog. The entrepreneur added that providing more possibilities for women in the business will enhance their lives and the lives of their families and communities.

Ola announced a Rs 2,400 crore investment last year to establish its first electric scooter manufacturing in Tamil Nadu. As part of the first phase, the business said that it would begin with a 10-lakh annual manufacturing capacity and subsequently expand it up to a 20-lakh capacity based on market demand.

Once finished, the firm, especially Ola Electric, claims that the factory would have an annual capacity of roughly 1 crore units, which is around 15% of the world's total two-wheeler output.
The business delayed the sale of its electric scooter S1 by a week last week, moving it to September 15 owing to "technical problems," as they put it. These issues arose when it came to making the website available to the client.
