Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman listed seven priorities of this Budget including inclusive development, green growth, youth power and more.  According to Sitharaman, the Indian economy is on the right road and will have a bright future. Saptrishi, she has outlined seven goals for the Union Budget 2023.

These include inclusive development, unleashing potential, green growth, youth power, reaching the last mile, the financial sector and infrastructure investment.

The first goal is inclusive development, which seeks to ensure that everyone in society gains from the growth and advancement of the country. The administration seeks to implement measures that will encourage equitable growth, reduce inequality, and create a society that is more inclusive.

The government will focus on making sure that its policies and projects reach the most remote and underserved segments of society as part of the second goal, known as "reaching last mile." Utilizing cutting-edge methods and technology, this will be done.

The government's third priority is infrastructure investment, where it makes an effort to meet the pressing need for improved infrastructure in the country. The ports, airports, trains, and roadways that are crucial to India's economic growth and competitiveness are included in this.

The fourth objective, "unleashing potential," calls on the government to focus on removing obstacles to the growth and development of the economy. This will be achieved by putting reforms into place in key industries including labour, land, and education.

The government's fifth priority will be to promote ecologically responsible and sustainable growth. Spending on renewable energy sources, environmental preservation, and taking steps to lessen the consequences of climate change are all part of this.

The administration will focus on maximising the potential of the country's young power as its sixth priority. This may be accomplished by making investments in education and skill development, creating job opportunities, and supporting entrepreneurship.

As the seventh priority, the administration will concentrate on bolstering the financial sector to support growth and development. In order to achieve this, actions must be taken to promote financial inclusion, increase loan availability, and improve the efficiency and stability of the financial system.

This budget, Sitharaman's fifth in a row, is for the fiscal year that starts on April 1, 2023. This budget is receiving extra attention because it will be the last complete budget from the Modi government before the Lok Sabha elections in 2024.
