1. Mandhana was inspired to play cricket after watching her brother and dad who played cricket at the district level for Sangli, Maharashtra. Her brother still bowls to her during net practice sessions.

2. She was selected for the Under-15 team of Maharashtra at the age of nine. She then entered the Under-19 team of Maharashtra at the age of 11.

3. Mandhana became the first Indian woman to score a double hundred in an ODI on October 2013. She played for Maharashtra against Gujarat and scored unbeaten 224 out of 150 balls that she faced.

4. Along with Harmanpreet Kaur, Mandhana became one of the first two Indians to get entry for Women's Big Bash League (WBBL). Mandhana played for 'Brisbane Heat' in September 2016.

5. In the first ICC’s team announced for women’s in the year 2016, Mandhana became the only Indian in the favourite eleven.
