The death toll due to the ravaging floods across the four districts of the Rayalaseema region rose to 29 with six more reported dead in a building collapse incident reported at Anantapur district.
 

This was one of the buildings listed and identified by BBMP as a vulnerable building to be demolished. The building had four floors and eight families were staying in it.

According to reports, in BBMP 2019 survey, 177 such dangerous buildings were identified that were unfit for occupancy and could collapse anytime.

According to reports, the building was reportedly tilting for the last three years. The migrant workers were reportedly evacuated on Sunday after they made distress calls about the building shaking. 

The safety of ancient houses and other structures was called into question when two boys, ages seven and twelve, were murdered when a four-story building fell in north Delhi's Sabzi Mandi neighbourhood.

Reports said some other people, including a worker and a rickshaw puller, are feared trapped under the debris.

At least 25 people died after record rains inundated central China. Floods struck an underground subway system, damaging dams and riverbanks, causing landslides and building collapses.

Vishal Patel (42), his wife Bhavna Patel (38) and their one-year-old daughter Aishani Patel are believed to be among the missing in the Champion Towers South Condo collapse. According to media reports, Bhavna Patel is four months pregnant.

The search and rescue teams worked through the night to clear the debris, hoping to find survivors. Heavy machinery has been brought to the site.

The decision was announced after Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray paid a visit to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Municipal Hospital (Shatabdi Hospital) in Kandivali, where those injured in the building collapse are admitted.
