Coronavirus: West Bengal registers over 4,000 COVID-19 cases in a day; Kolkata tops the list

The number of COVID-19 cases is increasing every day in Kolkata and North 24 Parganas. However, the number of infected people in these two cities was around 600 in the month of September but the number has reached to nearly 900 in the month of October. People are fearing about the upcoming days.
According to the State Health Bulletin on Wednesday (October 21), 879 people were infected with COVID in a single day in Kolkata. The number of infected in North 24 Parganas was 872 in one day. Once again, Kolkata tops the list of COVID-19 cases.
In a single day, 4,069 people were infected in West Bengal. According to the State Health Bulletin on Wednesday (October 21), 64 people died in a single day in the state. Out of the 64 deaths, 19 are from Kolkata and 19 from North 24 Parganas. So far, the total number of deaths is 6,244.
So far, a total of 72,341 people has been infected with COVID in Kolkata. The total number of people infected with COVID in West Bengal is 3,33,126. The number of active victims in the state in one day is 409. So far, a total of 35,579 active cases was reported in the state. A total of 2,91,303 people recovered from the hospital. The recovery rate in the month of October is 87.45 percent.
