The COVID-19 testing device ‘AutoTemp’ was developed by Divins Mathew, a final year B-Tech (computer science) student in Kerala.
Thiruvananthapuram: A Kerala engineering student has invented ‘AutoTemp Camera Integration’ device which can help health workers prevent the deadly coronavirus by identifying COVID patients through thermal scanning.
The invention can sense human body temperature through infrared sensors.
According to reports, if the body temperature of a person is higher than normal, the device will take an image of the person and transfer it to the connected system.
The brain behind the invention is Divins Mathew, a final year B-Tech (computer science) student of Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology, Kakkanad, Kochi. He was guided by Dr. Sminu Isudheen, head of the department of computer science.
