A Bengaluru woman has alleged expressed her distressing encounter with a Rapido driver. Taking to Twitter, the woman alleged that the driver behaved inappropriately and harassed her during a ride home from the Town Hall, where she had been attending a protest related to the Manipur violence on Friday.

The woman revealed that she opted for a bike ride instead of an auto due to multiple cancellations. However, upon booking the ride, she was taken aback when a Rapido driver arrived on a different bike, explaining that the registered bike was undergoing servicing. The situation took an alarming turn when the driver proceeded to harass her during the ride, leaving her deeply disturbed by the ordeal.

Later, she has written that the biker took her to a remote location and started behaving inappropriately. She even said that he was riding the bike with a single hand, and she remained silent, fearing for her safety.

She stated that she asked the rider to drop her 200 metres from her house, in order to keep her location a secret. She even alleged that the rider called her multiple times and started texting her on WhatsApp, after dropping her. Due to this behaviour, she blocked his number.

In response to her tweet, The Bengaluru City Police responded stating that the SJ Park Police station will take the necessary action regarding the matter.
