The Corps Commanders of India and China will hold their 13th round of military talks on October 10 at Moldo on the Chinese side to further discuss the disengagement process from the Hot Springs area in eastern Ladakh.

In the meeting, the Indian Army delegation would also raise the issue of Indian patrols being blocked in the Depsang plains before the two forces had a border standoff at multiple locations along the Line of Actual Control in the eastern Ladakh.

The last Corps Commanders' level meeting was held in August this year after which the two sides disengaged from the Gogra heights.

Prior to this, the troops of the Himalayan giants had disengaged from the South and the North of Pangong Tso.

Earlier this month in Leh, Indian Army chief Gen MM Naravane had confirmed the next round of talks between the two countries will be held soon.

Talking about the Chinese deployment along the LAC, he had said that China has deployed in considerable numbers all across eastern Ladakh and northern front, right up to the Indian Army's Eastern command.

The Army chief noted that the increase in PLA deployment in the forward areas was a matter of concern.

However, he noted that the movement of Chinese forces was being monitored regularly.

Reiterating that the Indian Army was well-positioned to meet any eventuality, General Naravane further said that based on the information it receives regarding Chinese troop movements, India too calibrates its deployment accordingly, both in terms of infrastructure as well as troops.
