Apple to fix iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max camera shaking issues by next week
Apple is already working on a software update to address the camera issue on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The company reportedly plans to roll it out by next week.
American tech giant Apple has said that it is working on a software update for the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max aimed at fixing a bug that makes the rear camera on the device physically shake when used with some third-party apps.
The iPhone manufacturer promised to release a patch for the camera shaking issue on their iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max devices by the end of the following week.
After the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max were introduced on September 7, various consumers posted complaints about the camera problem on social media. The problem, according to the Bloomberg news agency, is caused in some instances by third-party programmes that interfere with the optical image stabilisation technology.
Although users have reported that the problem interferes with camera functionality in social media applications like Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, it doesn't seem to have an impact on Apple's built-in camera.
The software update for the iPhone 14 would be at least the second so far. Users were urged to update to iOS 16.0.1 on the day of launch in order to fix a FaceTime activation issue.
One of the biggest improvements for this year's smartphone is the new camera system on the iPhone 14 Pro, which for the first time uses a 48-megapixel sensor for the primary lens.
The phone also includes a software feature called Dynamic Island at the top of the smartphone that works with an improved camera cutout to display data such as navigation directions or the status of AirPods.
The iPhone continues to be by far Apple's most significant product, contributing to about 50% of the company's revenues on its own and assisting in the growth of services like the App Store and Apple TV+. Additionally, it persuades people to purchase add-ons like the Apple Watch and AirPods.
In the US, the base price of the iPhone 14 Pro is $999, while the Pro Max variant is priced at $1,099.
