The upcoming, biopic M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story will have Sushant Singh Rajput playing Mahi and if the trailer is anything to judge by the movie is all set to know you the wind out of you, whether you're a cricket fan or not!

The fervour and intensity with which Rajput translates Dhoni's famous helicopter shot on film will leave you with goosebumps. His performance in the newly released trailer for the biopic seems absolutely magnificent .

"As I walked the path, the journey became my life. Here's a glimpse of it," said a status update on Dhoni’s official Facebook page as he shared the three-minute trailer of his biopic, ‘M S Dhoni-The Untold Story’.

The trailer assures the upcoming movie will reveal the struggle and the hard work MS had to go through before being touted as the most successful cricket captain in Indian history.

The voice of Ravi Shastri saying, “..and Dhoni finishes off in style," a sound clip of the original commentary from the 2011 World Cup final game, will transport every Indian cricket lover to that glorious moment.

The film is directed by Neeraj Pandey, who has delivered Bollywood gems such as A Wednesday (debut), Special 26 and Baby. And as promised he certainly seems to have delivered a classy film.

Sushant Singh Rajput, who plays MS Dhoni in the movie, returns to the big screen after 2015's 'Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!'. While that movie didn't exactly set the box office on fire, his acting in the movie was highly praised.

He looks strong in this one as well, and he certainly has the rustic accent down to a 'T'.

Anupam Kher plays Dhoni's father, and he seems to match every stereotypical worried, lower-middle-class father in films - the one who believes a government job (in this case employment in the Railways) is the best path.

Overall, the trailer, which is a whopping three minutes long, captures the feel of a small-town boy making it big quite well, but whether that translates into a coherent plot is yet to be seen.

The film is scheduled to release on September 30, 2016.
