Since the two factions of the AIADMK have merged, it is for opposition parties in Tamil Nadu to approach the speaker of the state assembly for a no confidence against the EPS government. Instead of meeting Governor and President of India the principal opposition party DMK and other parties should ask the Speaker of Tamil Nadu assembly to call for a voting against the EPS Government. This is what emerged from the AIADMK delegation meeting the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday morning.
Rajnath Singh has since given some political advice to the AIADMK and the same briefings will be made to the Governor of Tamil Nadu and also to the President of India by Rajnath Singh. Interestingly, the Deputy Speaker of Lok Sabha, Thambidurai, was also present during the AIADMK leaders’ meeting with Rajnath Singh. Yesterday, the AIADMK leaders in New Delhi also met Union Ministers Arun Jaitley and Nirmala Sitharaman to brief them about the smooth merger of two AIADMK factions OPS and EPS in Tamil Nadu
