Ola Electric to roll out new MoveOS3 this Diwali; may announce affordable scooter too
The Indian electric scooter manufacturer - Ola Electric, has confirmed the release of its new MoveOS3 this Diwali, while a new affordable scooter could also be launched. The brand confirmed in a tweet that the new MoveOS3 for the Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro electric scooters will be rolled out this Diwali.
This Diwali, Ola Electric is getting ready to release yet another upgrade for its Move Operating System. On October 22, the updated MoveOS3 for Ola S1 will go on sale, according to the company's official announcement. However, details have not been revealed by the brand yet.
"THIS DIWALI WE'RE BUZZING. WE'RE DANCING. WE'RE LAUNCHING EVERYTHING YOU'VE EVER WANTED. TUNE IN ON 22.10.2022," Ola Electric tweeted.
The business has also released a sneak peek teaser video ahead of the formal launch and invited the audience to predict the next MoveOS 3 feature. As stated in the teaser, "It won't simply transform, the OLA S1. It will modify the contest." Additionally, it stated that the scooter will have a quiet 8.5kW motor. The list includes hill-hold assist, voice assist, calling assist, on-screen widgets, and profiles. Talking of features seen on the beta version of MoveOS3, it offers hazard lights, halo lamp, supports proximity sensor, fall detection, document storage and wifi connectivity.
"Our 8.5kW motor will soon start speaking. Which MoveOS 3 feature will we be launching this Diwali, can you guess?" the business tweeted.
Bhavish Aggarwal, co-founder and CEO of Ola Electric, recently published a video on his personal account and hinted that Ola will make a significant announcement around Diwali. According to the video, the business is getting ready for brand-new product releases, major announcements, and fresh launches.
"On October 22, we will have a Diwali celebration. One of Ola's greatest announcements to date. We'll talk shortly." Aggarwal added.
And it follows that the company may also introduce a new scooter during the event. Most likely, Ola Electric will introduce a new, less expensive scooter with less power and range. It may be offered for roughly Rs 80,000 when it goes on sale. The Ola S1 will be above it in the brand's lineup.
The firm now provides two products, the S1 and S1 Pro, for Rs 99,999 and Rs 1,39,999, respectively. Additionally, the latter is being provided with a flat price of Rs 10,000 until Diwali, in addition to additional advantages like an extended guarantee and an easy financing option. Nothing, however, is official.
