BYD Atto 3 electric SUV with over 500kms range unveiled; Know specs & other details

The BYD Atto 3 electric SUV is equipped with Blade Battery technology that can charge from 0% to 80% within 50 minutes. The company will start delivering the BYD Atto 3 from January 2023. The car will be manufactured at the Sriperumbudur factory, which is located in the greater Chennai area.

The new Atto 3 electric SUV was introduced by BYD today in India. After the BYD E6 MPV, the Chinese automaker's second product in India is the BYD Atto 3. The cost of the new SUV has not yet been disclosed by the firm, but reservations for the Attos 3 EV are presently being taken for Rs 50,000. Beginning in January 2023, the business will start shipping the BYD Atto 3. The Sriperumbudur facility, which is situated in the greater Chennai area, will produce the automobile.

The new BYD Atto 3 is set to compete against the likes of Tata Nexon EV Max, Hyundai Kona, MG ZS EV, and others in the Indian market. As per the details available online, the BYD Atto 3 electric SUV is likely to be priced between Rs 30 lakh and Rs 40 lakh. However, one should note that the price is not confirmed officially by the company.

The BYD Atto 3's cabin has amenities including a panoramic sunroof, an 8-speaker audio system, a 12.8-inch touchscreen system, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration. Additionally, it has an automated parking brake, a 360-degree parking camera, an NFC card key, and an electric seat adjustment.

BYD Atto 3 features an aerodynamic front end with a ‘Dragon face’ design. Therefore, it features a front that is aggressively pointy. The automobile has a sleek LED grille up front, which is coupled to LED DRLs and headlights. The SUV has a large light bar at the back. The vehicle has a black roof and a dual-tone paint job. Additionally, it has dual-tone alloy wheels that give the vehicle a sportier appearance.

A front-mounted electric motor with a maximum output of 200 horsepower and a maximum torque of 310 Nm is included with the BYD Atto 3 SUV.

According to the manufacturer, the Atto 3 can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 7.3 seconds. Eco, Normal, and Sport are the three driving modes the automobile offers. The electric SUV's claimed ranges from ARAI and NEDC are 521 km and 480 km, respectively.
