Video: Gearing up for 73rd Army Day parade

India will on January 15 celebrate the 73rd Army Day.

Army Day was first celebrated in 1949 to commemorate the day when first Indian Commander-in-Chief KM Carriappa took over command of the Indian Army from Gen Sir FRR Butcher. 

The day also salutes those who laid down their lives to protect the country and honours their courage and sacrifice in the line of the duty.
