Teacher's day special: Rs 1 crore worth joint replacement surgeries at Sparsh Hospital
As a mark of respect and gratitude towards teachers, 100 free knee/joint replacement surgeries will be done on retired teachers, who are suffering from arthritis. Sparsh Hospital, under its Guru Namana program, will conduct free screening, surgery and post-operative care for teachers in six cities of Karnataka.
Teachers suffering from severe arthritis, confined to their homes and chairs due to pain and discomfort can now breathe a sigh of relief. 100 teachers from Hassan, Bengaluru, Vijapura, Raichur, Davangere and Gulbarga will be selected for knee/joint replacement surgery that will be conducted free of cost. This operation is being done under the CSR activity called 'Guru Namana'. In the last eight years, 800 teachers have been operated. The surgeries in different centres will take place on different dates and interested teachers or their relatives can approach the hospital for more details.
