Bengaluru: The potters in Pottery Town submitted a letter to the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) officials after they were asked to vacate the area. The metro authorities have not responded to the letter as of now. The area is to be used for metro rail works.

Pottery Town, which is located inside Benson Town, has close to 120 skilled potters, who earn a living out of the pottery work they do. The land was given to them by the government years ago. They had been living in the area for almost 45 years.

Asianet Newsable tried to contact the BMRCL, but there was no response from their end regarding the issue.
