Bengaluru: Two deaths at Lalbagh; one during the flower show in 2015 due to a bee attack and the other, a birdbath collapse that killed a boy in 2016, have made Lalbagh Botanical Garden authorities take preventive steps to ensure that this Independence Day Flower Show goes off smoothly.

M Jagadeesh, Joint Director, Parks and Gardens, Horticulture Department said they have listed dos and dont's at the venue and have cordoned off areas at the premises which are danger zones. An appeal to parents will be made at the entrance during the show to be cautious with children to stop them from entering such places.
