IMA scam breaks marriage in Bengaluru as wife dumps husband over Rs 25 lakh secret investment

After the case of heart attack to an IMA scam victim following IMA chief Mansoor Khan's mysterious escape, now a wife has dumped her husband after she found out about his secret investment of Rs 25 lakh in the firm

Bengaluru: After the multi-crore I Monetary Advisory (IMA) scam that had impacted thousands of lives in Bengaluru, now a man has approached Vanitha Sahaya Vani, the women's helpline to bring his wife and one-and-half-year-old daughter back. The woman, after finding out her husband's secret investment of Rs 25 lakh in the fraud firm has dumped him without any intimation.

Shabeer Khan from Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka, had sold his ancestral property and wanted to invest his share of Rs 25 lakh in Bengaluru. As he did not find a suitable property, he thought of investing the money in IMA and get Rs 50,000 as interest every month. He invested the amount five months ago and received Rs 1.5 lakh as interest for his Rs 25 lakh. The couple was living in Bengaluru.

However, from the last two months, he did not get any interest and before he could find out the reason, the firm’s chief Mansoor Khan fled the country. Shabeer said he had secretly invested the amount and his wife found out through the conversation he had with his friends about the loss of money.

He said three days after IMA scam came to light and the stories on the same in newspapers and TV channels about it, his wife left him. Shabeer said he was busy with his hotel business and when he returned home he found his wife and daughter missing. Then he complained to police who after an investigation said his wife had gone back to her mother's house in Chikkamagaluru and wanted to snap all ties as he had invested without her knowledge and lost all the money.
