Bengaluru: After Finance Commission chairperson NK Singh highlighted the prevalent lawlessness concerning traffic violations in Bengaluru, police commissioner Alok Kumar has been cracking down on two-wheeler motorists.
His comment regarding the attitude of Bengaluru's two-wheeler motorists towards the law, caused a lot of embarrassment to top cops who were in attendance at the meeting headed by Singh.
This one incident was enough was to make police chief Alok Kumar take to the streets. Kumar made a surprise inspection in Jeevan Bima Nagar and found motorists riding without helmets in front of the police station. Kumar advised motorists to wear helmets and directed the policemen to impose fines on few drivers.
