BJP leader Abdul Azeem slams moulvis, Congress's Zameer Ahmed Khan
In the backdrop of BJP's spectacular performance in Lok Sabha election in Karnataka, former police officer Abdul Azeem said that many Mulsims have turned away from the Congress. The former ACP also criticised BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan for saying that Azeem had lost relevance after joining the BJP.
Bengaluru: Holding Congress responsible for the divide and polarisation of opinions in Karnataka, the Muslim face of the BJP Abdul Azeem appealed to Muslims to not believe in the "stereotypical notion that has been set by the Congress" and instead work at living with the Hindus and foster communal harmony. Azeem also took a jibe at Congress leader and minister Zameer Ahmed Khan for saying that he had lost relevance after joining the BJP. He credited Zameer and HD Kumaraswamy for the growth of the BJP in Karnataka.
