Bengaluru: National Aerospace Laboratories launches 'Jaldost Airboat' to remove weeds from lakes

Bengaluru: The National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL) launched "Jaldost Airboat" on Saturday (June 1) weighing 650 kgs to remove weeds from lakes. This boat uses stainless steel cutter. It is installed in the airboat and facilitates cutting of rooted weeds in water bodies.

The boat which was launched in the Ulsoor lake is a prototype, and many other boats owill soon be placed in other lakes in the city. The boat can accommodate one crew member and three passengers.
