Bengaluru: Engineer devises 'iCleanX' for litter-free Bengaluru roads
While several pourakarmikas working in Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) struggle to sweep roads along with the pushcarts loaded with litter and garbage, a mechanical engineer in Bengaluru, Karnataka has designed "iCleanX" a pushcart that helps ease their work
Bengaluru: Prakash, a mechanical engineer in Bengaluru who had earlier worked with corporate companies in India and overseas, designed "iCleanX" which stands for "I am the cleaning expert" in 2017.
This 45-litre storage capacity pushcart weighs about 27 kg and can be used for a 5-km stretch. The pushcart will clean the road as the pourakarmikas push the four-wheeled cart. Though the pushcart does not separate dry/wet waste, this could be a useful machine to the labourers.
