Uttarakhand man marches 6,000 km demanding ban on EVMs
Omkar Singh Dhillon from Uttarakhand marched across states covering a distance of over 6,000 kilometres demanding a ban on EVMs. Dhillon suggested using ballots for voting for he believes that it cannot be tampered with
Rudrapur (Uttarakhand): Omkar Singh Dhillon from Uttarakhand’s Rudrapur has demanded the ban of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
He believes that ballot voting is the safest way to vote. In order to spread this message across the country, Dhillon marched over 6,000 kilometres across cities such as Moradabad, Ghaziabad, Delhi, Gurgaon, Jaipur, Udaipur and Ahmedabad.
He marched with the slogan ‘EVM Hatao Desh Bachao’ and reached Bengaluru in Karnataka. His mission is to walk to Chennai and Kolkata from there.
