Unstoppable shoe theft menace in Bengaluru

After North and East Bengaluru, shoe thieves are now entering South Bengaluru. CCTV footage reveals two men stole shoes worth nearly Rs 1 lakh in an apartment in Subramanyapura on the night of September 17. 

Bengaluru: Shoe theft menace has become very common in Bengaluru. While the shoe burglary existed mostly in North and East Bengaluru, the menace has now started in South Bengaluru too. The residents of Nanda Crest Apartment in Subramanyapura woke up on September 18 to find many shoes and slippers missing in their shoe racks. When the residents checked the CCTV footage inside the apartment premises, they found two men, who had partially covered their faces, stealing shoes in two big bags. It is reported that several pairs of shoes worth nearly Rs 1 lakh have been stolen and mostly men’s shoes were taken. The residents of the apartment will soon file a complaint at the Subramanyapura Police Station.
