Kodagu: Our healthcare workers have been battling the invisible enemy - coronavirus. They have been risking their lives to save the patients, keeping aside their struggles and medical conditions. At the root of India's brave fight against COVID-19 is the hard work of the medical community and our corona warriors. We bring you a story of a woman named Soumya, who is 7-months pregnant and tirelessly works day and night to spread awareness about coronavirus (COVID-19) infection. She works as a nurse at the Suntikoppa Primary Health Centre in Somwarpet.

Soumya walks kilometres to conduct surveys and advises people to use sanitisers, wear masks and also maintain social distance to arrest the spread of the deadly coronavirus. She has also sent returnees to mandatory quarantine and asked residents to keep their surroundings clean. Her son Skanda too goes around spreading awareness with his mother. Soumya is of the thought that she is ready to struggle every day if that ensures people are safe and sound.
