After Mysuru city commissioner Shilpa Nag tendered her resignation on Thursday and went public about the differences between her and Mysuru District Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri, over two dozen Mysuru city corporation corporators staged a protest.

The corporators followed all Covid protocols and were seen holding placards and raising slogans against Rohini Sindhuri.

MCC commissioner had accused Sinduri, a 2009 batch officer of harassing her by repeatedly sending notices and the last event about a WhatsApp message saying that MCC was in red zone 90 in terms of Covid cases.

However, the DC said she just asked the details of CSR fund expenditure and condemned the MCC commissioner's act of going before the press.

To solve the differences and to convince the MCC commissioner to reconsider her resignation decision, Mysuru district in-charge minister ST Somashekhar was in the city and met the official and took stock of the situation.

Earlier in the day, the Chief Secretary took stock of the situation and told the media that he has not received any resignation letter.
