Dozens of birds found dead in public park, bird flu suspected in Bengaluru
The bird flu cases that had created panic in parts of India have now sparked fear among Bengalureans as dozens of birds have died from the last few days in a public park.
On a regular walk, the former BBMP corporator Lakshminarayana (Gundanna) said initially he found about five birds dead and asked the Shankarnag Park authorities to dispose of the remains and keep the park clean. But the repeated deaths have now made him worried as the ward has 12 more parks and if these deaths are due to 'bird flu', it could spread panic in the rest of the city.
The experts will have to conduct an autopsy without much delay as it could have a cascading effect on poultry business too.
