Coronavirus: Prostitution racket – Girls from Maharashtra in Karnataka brothel stirs up panic

Vijayapur: Residents in Gandhinagar, Vijayapur are a fed-up lot with the flesh trade going on in their area and are disgusted with men frequenting a prostitution centre. The residents allege that a woman has been running a prostitution racket amid the coronavirus crisis with girls from Maharashtra.  They also complain that the brothel keeper has threatened them stating, “I will run the brothel no matter what, do whatever you want to stop me.” The residents fear that the girls who have been brought from Maharashtra, which is the worst-hit state by coronavirus, might spread the deadly infection.
