Coronavirus: NIMHANS workers stage protest over lack of facilities
Hundreds of contract workers staged a protest in NIMHANS premises against the management over inadequate facilities
Bengaluru: Hundreds of contract workers from NIMHANS were out on streets protesting over the lack of facilities at the centre. The protesters ensured social distancing and wore masks as they sat on a protest. The protesters alleged that those who contract coronavirus infection are not being treated, admitted nor are they being sent to institutional quarantine. However, allegedly the permanent staff have been given treatment for coronavirus. The protesting contract workers have demanded that they be treated at the hospital, provided with PPE kits and be insured of Rs 50 lakh under Prime Minister Garib Kalyan Yojana.
