ASHA worker in Karnataka sought protection after complaining of sexual harassment, and said that if justice is not served she would be left with only one option and that is “committing suicide”
Chikkamagaluru: In yet another attack on ASHA workers by miscreants, an ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activist) worker on COVID duty was allegedly sexually assaulted by a youth in Sringeri, Chikkamagaluru district, Karnataka.
The ASHA worker has accused a man named Chandrashekar of sexually assaulting her when she was on the way to collect COVID-19 information from residents. She has sought protection while on duty and demanded action against her perpetrator.
