KR Market to open completely from September 1: Bengaluru Mayor Gautham Kumar Jain

On Sunday, Bengaluru mayor Gautham Kumar Jain and Bengaluru Central MP PC Mohan inspected KR Market, met traders and asked them to follow rules like wearing face masks, sanitizing hands and asking public and customers to follow social distancing.

The market area was shut for the last few months following an increase in COVID-19 cases in one particular area adjacent to the market.

This apart, the ongoing civic works like laying of sanitary lines and leaving debris uncleared attracted the mayor's attention, who immediately ordered a fix, to make sure everything is cleared by August 30, so that the operations at the market remains smooth.
