Karnataka health department gives COVID positive report to family 5 days after patient’s cremation

Gadag: Hundreds of people who attended the funeral of a 64-year-old woman in Yalavathi village in Laxmeshwar taluk of Gadag in north Karnataka are at risk as the state health department failed to give COVID-19 positive confirmation. The officials gave the test reports five days after the cremation in which hundreds took part. Now, the big task before the officials is to trace all those who attended the funeral and subject them to COVID-19 tests to ensure the virus does not spread.
