Karnataka: COVID-19 patient not taken to hospital even 24 hours after testing positive; family in distress
Even after the test results of a suspected patient showed that he was COVID-19 positive and he was assured of being shifted for treatment, a department official failed to have him moved to hospital. As a result, the family is in distress and the patient's worry escalates as he remains without any medical help.
A case of negligence on part of health department officials has been reported after a 30-year-old patient was left unattended for 24 hours despite him testing positive for the deadly coronavirus.
The family of the patient from Chitradurga has been left worried as it includes children and aged persons who are more prone to being impacted by the patient’s presence near them.The family has been waiting for an ambulance from Tuesday (July 21) evening.
