Four of the COVID-19 hotspots in Bengaluru were shut completely after the government realised that similar to Mumbai and Chennai, Bengaluru started to witness over 100 cases being reported every day in the last few days.

So far, according to the BBMP War Room bulletin, there are 962 active cases and over 400 containment zones.

To avoid the further spread in wards like KR Market, VV Puram, Siddapura and Chikpete, the areas were sealed completely.
