Bengaluru: With the resumption of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus services on long routes and in places bordering or near Maharashtra, there are concerns about passengers’ safety amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Although the authorities claim that measures have been taken, the stops for dinner near dhabas are a concern. The chief traffic manager of KSRTC claimed that the owners of dhabas were asked to function on the instructions based on standard operating procedures and any lapses like unhygienic conditions and failure of maintaining social distancing will be taken seriously and notices will be issued.
