Coronavirus fear grips Bengaluru; unconscious senior citizen left unattended on road after collapsing
The increasing cases of COVID-19 among Bengalureans has impacted them so much that even a non-COVID person falls, is refused to be touched and shifted to a hospital. In one such case, an aged person who fell on a road in Shivanagar was left unattended by the public. He was saved by a BBMP corporator
Bengaluru: The coronavirus (COVID-19) scare in Bengaluru is affecting non-COVID patients too. An aged person who collapsed due to seizures in Bengaluru west was left unattended on a road as the public assumed him to be a COVID patient and they feared touching him.
A day ago, M Shivaraj, corporator of Shivanagar got a call saying an elderly man was left unattended for one hour. Upon arriving he was shocked to see people standing at a distance and refusing to attend to him.
The corporator mobilised people and got help to shift the patient to a hospital and from there to his house. According to him, the person was aged and collapsed due to seizures and weakness and he was not a COVID patient.
