Coronavirus: BBMP contract doctors approach Bengaluru mayor for regularisation of service

Amid the coronavirus pandemic and shortage of doctors, around 60 contract doctors in the BBMP have approached Bengaluru mayor Gautham Kumar Jain for regularisation of their service. If the BBMP council approves in the council meeting, these qualified doctors will not only become permanent but BBMP wards will also witness quality of service

Bengaluru: At a time when patients are complaining of doctors shortage in the BBMP during the coronavirus pandemic, the Bengaluru civic authority’s contract doctors have given a representation to city mayor Gautham Kumar Jain to pitch in the council for regularisation of services of 60 doctors.

 

The doctors who have already worked in the BBMP environment from the last five years, said that they have understood the concept of public health and it needs a holistic approach. Hence, now the demand that they be made permanent.

 

Mayor, while speaking to Asianet Newsable, has assured that he will talk to the BBMP commissioner and also speak about this in the BBMP council meeting.
