Tamil Nadu Stalin demands CBI inquiry into the sale of guthka case

Even today, June 29, 2017, DMK president MK Stalin raised a question on the complaint in the Guthka case. He has demanded CBI’s probe in this regard.

The Chief Minister E Palaniswami in his reply has remarked that the court has dismissed the plea for CBI investigation.

He also said that based on the letter of the Commissioner, an investigation has been undertaken by the Vigilance and Anti Corruption department.

Considering this as a dissatisfactory reply Stalin, with his party men walked out.

In the premises of the Assembly, Stalin said, “The Chief Minister was not ready to face a debate on this case. This investigation process is just a drama. We demanded for the dismissal of the health minister but he has overlooked this issue altogether. Some ministers and officials are involved in this bribery case connected with the Guthka. No action has been taken against them. Again we demand for the dismissal of the officials George and Rajendren. There should be a CBI probe in this issue. Since we were not satisfied with the response of the CM, we have walked out”
