Rains to lash AP & Telangana for 6 days

A low-pressure system formed in the northwest Bay of Bengal. It is now over North Odisha and Jharkhand. The weather department says it will move towards remote parts of Odisha by Tuesday. This has already caused rain in Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema. Sativada in Vizianagaram district got the highest rainfall at 4.95 cm. Officials have warned fishermen to stay off the sea due to strong winds and thunderstorms on the North Andhra coast.

From August 25 to 28, AP, Yanam, and Rayalaseema will see thunderstorms and strong winds of 40-50 km/h, gusting to 60 km/h.
