Upset over cancelled David Guetta concert? Bengaluru you deserve it

  • DJ David Guetta's concert got cancelled over law and order situation in Bengaluru.
  • Apart from Bengaluru, Guetta is scheduled to perform in Mumbai, Delhi, and Hyderabad.
  • Bengaluru earlier hosted many international concerts.
why begaluru do not deserve David Guetta concert

DJ David Guetta's four-city India tour was to kick-off in Bengaluru, and it got cancelled at the last minute. The reason given for the sudden cancellation is 'law and order situation' after the mass molestation incident on New Year's Eve.

Following this, the blame game has begun between the organisers Sunburn and city police. But, the crux of the matter is the show got cancelled due to the embarrassing incident that happened recently, and Bengaluru you deserve this.

With the cancellation of this concert, Bengaluru has qualified to be a member of the elite (pun intended) list of Indian cities where concerts can't be held. And, it is because of women safety concern and rowdy crowd.

Previously, the much anticipated Coldplay concert in Mumbai also faced a last-minute uncertainty, and in 2011, Metallica concert had to be cancelled in Delhi due to crowd behaviour. This is a shameful incident for Delhi since the band was already at the venue to perform.

Unlike other Indian cities, Bengaluru has seen many international artists and big bands performing live. For example, Bryan Adams had five concerts, Iron Maiden and Lamb of God has performed twice each, Scorpions, Elton John, The Rolling Stones, Sting, Aerosmith, Megadeth, The Black Eyed Peas, Guns N' Roses and David Guetta also has performed here before.

But since past two years, the rising law and order issues and repeated incidences of molestation of women have made this city unsuitable for any large scale event. In short, Bengaluru is becoming similar to any other Indian city that is aspiring to become like Bengaluru.
