Union Home Minister Amit Shah questioned opposition leaders, notably Rahul Gandhi, over their silence regarding the IT raid on Jharkhand Congress MP Dhiraj Prasad Sahu, seizing over 350 crore. Shah dismissed claims of agency misuse, pressing for opposition accountability. Congress distanced itself while BJP intensified corruption allegations, vowing to highlight the issue.

While Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh insisted that only Dheeraj Sahu can explain the source of the substantial cash unearthed by tax authorities, BJP leaders, including Amit Malviya, countered by questioning Congress's connection to Sahu and shared a video featuring Rahul Gandhi with the MP. 

The searches were launched on August 2 and about 40 premises of the entities, which have not been identified, were covered in Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore and Vellore. So far, the search operation has resulted in the detection of undisclosed income of more than Rs 200 crore, the CBDT said.
