BJP National President Amit Shah has reached Hungund in Karnataka to campaign for Dodddanagouda Patil. Shah landed at Hungund and addressed an event at Veeramani Stadium at Ilkal in Bagalkot. Doddanagouda will face Congress' Kashappanavar Vijayanand Shivashankrappa. In the 2013 assembly election, Doddanagowda was defeated by Kasahappanavar, but Doddanagouda was BJP MLA in 2004 and 2008. Both the leaders are contesting against each other since 2004. Thus, a victory this time is a matter of prestige to Doddanagouda.
